Machining
TRI Manufacturing has several decades
of experience in manufacturing and repairing critical industrial
equipment. Machining large size pieces of high-strength alloy steel,
such as AISI 4340, while holding tolerances of +/- 0.001” is routine
for TRI. The TRI facility is 25,000 sq. ft. under roof. Bridge crane
capacity is 7.5 tons.
Turning
TRI Manufacturing has horizontal lathes that
can turn work pieces up to 36” diameter and
15’ long. For large diameter turning, the Cincinnati CNC Vertical
Boring Mill can machine pieces up to 84” diameter. The Giddings &
Lewis CNC Horizontal
Lathe can turn pieces 20” diameter by 86” long.

Milling
TRI Manufacturing has a Bullard 3-Axis, CNC,
Horizontal Boring Mill, with 66x56x37 travel and a Giddings & Lewis
3-Axis, Horizontal Boring Mill. Each handle pieces weighing up to
30,000 lbs. CNC Machining Centers include: (2) Kearney & Trecker
5-Axis CNC horizontal machines, with 20x18x20 travel and (1) Kearney
& Trecker
4-Axis CNC horizontal machine, with 20x18x20 travel.

Waterjet Cutting
TRI
Manufacturing CNC waterjet cutting can precisely cut material up to
6" thick without added heat, minimizing the effect to the material.

Grinding
Our Blanchard surface grinder can precision
grind, to within 0.0001”, work pieces up to 36” wide.
